Punjab Chapter organised a One day Workshop on Lab-our Laws at NFL Plant, Bathinda (Punjab) on 21.04.2017. Our Chapter Executive pooled to constitute the Faculty. This was the second programme for NFL earlier one being at their Nangal Plant.
Welcome address and inauguration of the programme was done by Mr. Sunil Arora ,the plant Head and introduction by Mr H V Varshney Dy.GM (HR) NFL. Mr. SP Bansal, Chairman outlined about objective of the program and NIPM Punjab Chapter activities. Dr SR Saini ,Past Chairman and senior HR Professional talked about background , objectives and contribution of NIPM to the HR profession at National level . This was followed by introduction and evolution of Labour Laws by Mr. A.K. Bakshi, Hon. Secretary of the Chapter .
A presentation on ESI & EPF Acts was given by Mr Jasbir Singh Plant HR Head of Molson Coors . The Indian Factories Act was covered by Mr . S. B. Khullar, Vice Chairman , while Presentation on Contract Labour (R&A) Act was made by Mr S. P. Bansal, Chairman of the Chapter.
Session on latest developments in Labour Laws enactments was made by Mr A K Bakshi, Advocate, Hon. Secy. Dr SR Saini, Past Chairman spoke on Significance of Employee Engagement in improving Productivity. The program was attended by more than 40 executives and was well appreciated by the participants.
